Like the previous reviewer, this is the first laser cut MDF building I have tried. I am about 3/4 of the way through assembly, and I am delighted as to how easy it is to assemble. The pieces detach from the sheets very easily and the fit is perfect. From another review on assembling this type of model I went with the recommendation of using 'Tacky Glue'. Basically this is very thick PVA and allows the parts to stick together a lot easier during the construction. Once assembled I think I will have a go at 'rendereing' the walls (before painting) - a thin downed coat of PVA on the areas where the bricks aren't showing and then sprinke some fine sand. I then plan to prime it with a spray paint (probably an army painter spray) and then paint the detail using acrylics.

LA HAYE SAINTE (MY FIRST MDF) - CAPT. NOLAN - 21/06/2015
I HAVE A MODEL SHOP, I MAKE AND PAINT STUFF ALL THE TIME FOR A LIVING, MAKING ITEMS LETS ME HAVE A CLOSE LOOK AT WHAT A PRODUCT IS LIKE AND I HAD NEVER MADE A MDF ITEM BEFORE.... SO FOR THOSE OF YOU IN ANY DOUBT LET ME ASSURE YOU THIS IS A FINE PRODUCT. IT GOES TOGETHER EASILY AND FITS PERFECT WITH SIMPLE INSTRUCIONS. I USED SUPER GLUE RATHER THAN PVA. ONCE PUSHED OUT FROM FRAME JUST TRIM THE POINT THAT HELD IT FOR A FLUSH FIT. I USED A COUPLE OF 6" OFF CUTS OF CONTEBOARD TO HELP PUSH TOGETHER AND HOLD UPRIGHT THE FIRST FLOOR / WALL PARTS OF EACH SECTION SO IT WAS SQUARE, AFTER THAT EACH PART FITTED PERFECTLY. PLEASE NOT: IF YOU DO USE SUPER GLUE WIPE THE EXCESS OFF QUICKLY SO AS NOT TO STICK TO YOUR WORK SURFACE. I GAVE MINE A NUDGE AFTER A SECOND OR SO JUST TO ENSURE THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN. THIS IS A MUST FOR ANY WATERLOO FAN AND LENDS ITSELF TO MUCH FURTHER CONVERSION PLUS YOU CAN WARGAME FROM ROOM TO ROOM. I LEFT THE CARDBOARD DOORS AND GATES INTACT RATHER THAN HAVE THEM FLOPPING ABOUT, LOOKED BETTER. ALSO FITTED CLEAR PLASTIC FOR WINDOWS (NOT INCLUDED). THE MAIN GATE WORKS GREAT OPENING AND CLOSING. THE DETAILING THATS ETCHED IN IS A REAL BONUS FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT PAINT, ITS LIKE PAINTING BY NUMBERS BUT I HAVE LEFT MINE BLANK AS THE COLOUR OF THE WOOD LOOKS FINE ALSO SAVES TIME BUT MAYBE I'LL PAINT IT ONEDAY. THE ONLY THING I LEFT OFF WAS THE CARDBOARD ROOF WINDOWS AS I FELT THEY WOULDN'T STAND THE TEST OF TIME MOVING ABOUT AND COULD EASILY BE KNOCKED OFF, ALSO
